消亡中的餘留者

Remainder

人生或許就在逃難,而時間就是子彈,每天被射殺,逃不出牢籠;我們時常忠誠於過去,嘗試開啟當下,早在人們意識到時間的存在,便是生活在剩餘時間中的餘留者。
相對於時間,擺盪的人們在這細碎之間,我們調整著步伐好讓自己鑲嵌進生命虛無的大河中,偶爾咒罵、偶爾竊喜、偶爾狂歡,但多數時候人們只是如行屍般無意識的前進或輪迴著,就像在站大雨中哭泣時的眼淚,毫不顯眼的消失。

相對於人本身記憶是主動,遺忘是被動的,也就是說人能夠主動選擇記住某件事,而不能選擇去忘記某件事,即使我們可以選擇記憶傳承,必然隨著時間的消逝,有些事情會被遺忘、有些事情變得陌生、有些事情變得無感,如磚瓦般剝落漸漸地放下褪去。我們時常忠誠於過去,嘗試開啟當下,早在人們意識到時間的存在,便是生活在剩餘時間中的餘留者。

作品中使用到特殊的道具「骨牌」,是我對於「時間」的實體想像,如果人能成為一個載體,那麼我們將時間握在手中,不斷的建構與毀壞,慢慢排列出屬於自己的人生軌跡。

透過「時間」的角度切入,對我來說時間這件事情本身是大家共有的經驗,以此觸發觀眾的共感,而舞蹈與身體更是跨越文化及語言的媒介,以自身學習背景出發,將舞蹈身體加入當代舞、街舞、行為、戲劇、默劇等等元素,把對時間的想像用肢體展現出來。

Against the time, the pendulum swings as we pace ourselves into the river of life's emptiness, occasionally cursing, sniggering, reveling, but most of the time, we simply wander aimlessly or reincarnate unconsciously, like the tears that disappear unseen as we stand weeping in the pouring rain. In contrast to memory, which is active, forgetting is passive, which means that one can opt to remember something, but not to forget it. Even if we can choose to pass on our memories, it is inevitable that as time passes, some things will be forgotten, some will become unfamiliar, and others will lose their sense of meaning, like bricks and tiles flaking off and gradually falling away.

It's all about using the aspect of “time” to trigger the co-experience between audience. In addition, dance performance is a transcultural and language material. By combing my background with contemporary dance, street dance, performance art, drama, pantomime, and so on, I visualize the imagination of time into a dance piece, which reflect the communion of cultural diversities in Taiwan.

The dominoes used in the piece are my physical imagination of “time.” If one can be a carrier, then we hold time in our hands, building and destroying it, slowly arranging the trajectory of our own lives.

身體處方是由創作者莊博翔創立於2022年的舞蹈團隊。曾以個人名義於2022年入選國家文化藝術基金會「第十五屆表演藝術新人新視野創作專案」第二階段呈現,2021年入選衛武營國家藝術文化中心「高雄雄厲害」第一階段,2020年作品《㒩怪》獲選世安文教基金會「世安藝術創作贊助獎」及第五屆「雲門創計畫」獎助,同年曾受台北表演藝術中心邀請參加與法國國家舞蹈中心(CN D)共台主辦「Camping Asia」雙年展的駐村計畫候選名單。2019年作品《We are not human at all.》更榮獲台北藝穗節「藝穗原創精神獎」,同年榮獲舞躍大地創作比賽「年度大獎-金牌獎」。

D-Antidote Production is a dance group founded in 2022 by Choreographer Po-hsiang Chuang. Chuang in 2022 was shortlisted by the National Culture and Arts Foundation in the second stage of "The 15th Performing Arts Novices New Visions Creative Project," in 2021, he was on the shortlist for the first stage of the "Kaohsiung Local Hi" event at the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying); in 2020, his work "《㒩怪》" was recognized by the S-An Cultural Foundation with the "S-An Arts and Creativity Sponsorship Award" and received a grant from the 5th Cloud Gate Culture and Arts Foundation’s "Art Makers Project"; in the same year, he was invited by the Taipei Performing Arts Center to participate in a residency program with the French National Dance Center (CND) for the "Camping Asia" Biennale; In 2019, his work "We are not human at all" won the "Fringe Original Spirit Award" at the Taipei Fringe Festival; and the "Award of the Year - Gold Medal" at the Taiwan Creative Dance Competition in the same year.
