《祈福之身》— 我的儀式練習
Embodied Blessing — A Personal Ritual Practice

《祈福之身》源自創作者自 2019 年起對柬埔寨傳統舞(Apsara Dance)的研究與身體實踐。受吳哥窟浮雕與宮廷舞蹈手勢啟發,創作者將傳統儀式動作轉化為當代表演語彙,並提問:當身體成為一座廟宇,我們如何在其中安放信仰與願望?
本作品結合傳統舞蹈布料、雕塑元素與聲音敘事,建構一個介於儀式與日常之間的空間。舞者的身體既是祝福的容器,也是觀看的對象;既承載文化記憶,也回應當下環境。動作在緩慢細膩與流動開展間交替,在重複之中形塑屬於個人的祈禱形式。
作品並非單純再現宗教儀式,而是對「儀式感」的重新提問:祈福是否能存在於呼吸與步伐之中?當身體進入公共空間,它展現出既脆弱又莊重的質地,邀請觀者重新凝視自身與世界的關係。這是一段持續生成的練習,關於傳統與當代的交會,也關於在快速流動的社會中,如何為自己保留一處真誠的內在空間。
Embodied Blessing originates from the artist’s research and practice of Cambodian classical dance (Apsara) since 2019. Inspired by Angkor Wat bas-reliefs and court dance gestures, she transforms ritual movements into contemporary performance language, asking: When the body becomes a temple, how do we house our faith and wishes within it?
The work combines traditional textiles, sculptural elements, and sound narrative to construct a space between ritual and the everyday. The dancer's body acts as both a vessel for blessing and an object of gaze; it carries cultural memory while responding to the present environment. Movements alternate between delicate slowness and fluid expansion, shaping a personal form of prayer through repetition.
Rather than merely reproducing religious ceremonies, the work re-interrogates "ritual": Can blessing exist within breath and steps? In public space, the body exhibits a texture both fragile and dignified, inviting viewers to re-examine their relationship with the world. This is an ongoing practice where tradition and contemporary life intersect—a way to preserve a sincere internal space within a fast-moving society.

Wu Tsai-Rou
吳采柔,生於台東,現居台北,獨立藝術工作者。專注於肢體表演、教學與人體模特兒實踐,長期探索身體在美術館、藝廊等非典型場域的敘事可能,並藉由動靜轉換思考身體的觀看與象徵。自 2019 年鑽研柬埔寨傳統舞,曾獲文化部資助赴柬田野調查,發表《日常符號》探討身體記憶。2025 年推動《祈福之身》計畫,以「身體即靈廟」實驗傳統與當代肢體的融合。她亦關 注女性與婚姻移民議題,並經營專頁「仙女們的秘密檔案」分享文化研究與創作歷程。
Wu Tsai-Rou, born in Taitung and based in Taipei, is an independent artist. Focusing on physical performance, teaching, and art modeling, she explores the narrative possibilities of the body in atypical spaces such as museums and galleries, reflecting on the gaze and symbolism through shifts between motion and stillness. Since 2019, she has delved into Cambodian classical dance, receiving Ministry of Culture support for field research and presenting Daily Symbols to explore bodily memory. In 2025, she launched the project Embodied Blessing, experimenting with the fusion of traditional and contemporary movement under the concept "body as temple." She also focuses on women’s and marriage migrant issues, managing the platform "Secret About Apsara" to share her cultural research and creative journey.
