Guan is a contemporary dance work rooted in the spiritual atmosphere and ritual practices of Taiwanese temple culture. Centered on the body, the piece explores the subtle threshold between humans and deities, and between physical presence and inner consciousness. Focusing on moments of transformation, the choreography examines how the body shifts from an ordinary state into one of heightened perception, becoming a vessel for unseen forces. Rather than recreating ritual forms, Guan reflects on the act of observing and sensing, allowing the dancing body to serve as a site of introspection and cultural memory. The work reveals a state of being that exists between the visible and the invisible.
