搏筊 Pua̍h-pue

Puàh-pue—Divination of blocks

「Pua̍h-pue」(擲筊)起源於古代中國通過易經卜筮的習俗。這是一種用來與神明溝通並尋求未來指引的神諭形式。通常使用兩根木製或竹製的筊,稱為「pue」或「月亮塊」。擲出後觀察它們的落地方式——一根平面朝上(「陰」),一根圓面朝上(「陽」)——以解讀神明之意。擲筊有三種可能的結果:「sèng-pue」,一根平面朝上、一根圓面朝上,表示神明的認可;「îm-pue」,兩根圓面朝上,表示不被神明認同;以及「tiàu-pue」,兩根平面朝上,通常被解讀為神明在笑且建議再次提問。
根據個人經驗,執行「Pua̍h-pue」這個行為有時並非出於個人意願,而是來自傳統儀式的某種強制力與束縛。在這個過程中,我反思神諭中的不確定性和矛盾。面對未知時,「Pua̍h-pue」給予的答案是神明意志的體現,還是僅僅是人們透過宗教經驗連結內心渴望的一種表現?

“Pua̍h-pue” (divination blocks) originates from ancient Chinese divination practices rooted in the I Ching. It is a form of oracle used to communicate with deities and seek guidance about the future. The ritual typically involves two wooden or bamboo blocks, known as pue or “moon blocks.” After being cast, their landing positions are interpreted: one flat side up (“yin”) and one rounded side up (“yang”) indicates divine approval; two flat sides up signifies disapproval; while two rounded sides up is often understood as the deity laughing, suggesting the question be asked again.

Based on personal experience, performing Pua̍h-pue is not always a voluntary act, but one shaped by the compelling force of ritual tradition. Through this process, I reflect on the uncertainty and contradictions inherent in oracles. When facing the unknown, does the answer revealed by Pua̍h-pue represent divine will, or is it merely a projection of human desire mediated through religious experience?

KUO,Chueh-Kai/Nonlybody

三個從小學舞、學武、學馬術的男孩,憑藉舞蹈前往國際頂尖舞團與世界各國舞台,他們在二十歲的下半場,選擇飛回自身土地的起點,創立「身體不止」,與大家分享舞蹈的起點,一同探索從舞蹈感受到的快樂與可能性。
實踐領域涵蓋藝術展演、專業舞者工作坊、舞蹈扎根推廣,以及面向一般參與者的素人肢體課程,旨在讓身體—舞蹈成為更多人可以接觸的媒介。

Three boys, who grew up training in dance, martial arts, and equestrian practice, traveled through dance to some of the world’s leading companies and international stages.
In the latter half of their twenties, they chose to return to the place where their bodies first began, founding Nonly Body to share the origins of dance and to explore together the joy and possibilities discovered through movement.
Nonly Body’s practices span artistic performances, professional dancer workshops, dance outreach and grassroots programs, as well as movement classes for non-professional participants.
Through these diverse formats, the collective aims to make the body and dance a medium that more people can access, experience, and connect with.
