L`PADO( BE STUCK )

L’PADO 在西非 Moba 語 中意為「被困住」。在 COVID-19 疫情期間,我逐漸深刻意識到病毒如何持續存在於社群媒體、新聞,以及日常對話之中。它不僅是一場健康危機,也形成了一種籠罩著我們的心理與情感氛圍。儘管我完全理解這場疫情帶來的巨大生命損失,以及許多人所經歷的長期身體與心理後果,但我同時也感受到一種強烈的壓迫感——彷彿人類的存在本身被限制、被暫停,並被困在無形的牆之中。
這種「被困住」的感受深深影響了我的情緒與身體現實。我的身體感到受限,動作變得收縮,呼吸也更加沉重。我不斷尋找出口——一個可能的開口或出路——同時也目睹一些親近的朋友在 L’PADO 的狀態中掙扎。有些人轉向毒品,試圖逃避壓力;有些人則以自我傷害來應對恐懼、不確定與孤立。看到我關心的人被困在這樣的狀態中,深深觸動了我,也更加強了我以藝術創作作出回應的渴望。
在這件作品中,我將「被困」的感受化為身體的動作。我探索緊張、抵抗、崩解與釋放。身體既是掙扎的場域,也是轉化的場域。我在其中尋找通往自由的可能之門,即使那些門有時看不見,或顯得脆弱而不確定。除了思考「解放」本身,我也質疑維持自由所需的微妙平衡:當自由被找到之後,我們如何持續維持它?它又是多麼容易再次被奪走?
最終,這個計畫提出一個問題:動作本身是否能成為一種有意識的自由實踐——一種以身體抵抗限制、重新奪回空間、呼吸與人之存在的方式。

L’PADO means “stuck” in the West African Moba language. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I became deeply aware of how the virus existed as a constant presence in social media, the news, and everyday conversations. It was not only a health crisis but also a psychological and emotional atmosphere that surrounded us. While fully acknowledging the devastating loss of life and the lasting physical and mental consequences experienced by so many, I also felt an overwhelming sense of oppression. It was as if human existence itself had become restricted, suspended, and confined within invisible walls.

This feeling of being stuck profoundly shaped both my emotional and physical reality. My body felt limited, my movements reduced, my breath heavier. I searched for an exit—an opening, a possibility—while witnessing close friends struggle under this condition of L’PADO. Some turned to drugs in an attempt to escape the pressure. Others harmed themselves as a way to cope with fear, uncertainty, and isolation. Seeing people I care about caught in this state of confinement deeply affected me and intensified my need to respond through artistic creation.

Through this work, I embody the sensation of stuckness and transform it into movement. I explore tension, resistance, collapse, and release. The body becomes a site of struggle but also of transformation. I search for possible doorways toward freedom, even when those doors seem invisible or fragile. Beyond the idea of liberation, I question the delicate balance required to remain free. What does it mean to sustain freedom once it is found? How easily can it be lost?

Ultimately, this project asks whether movement itself can become a conscious practice of liberation—an embodied resistance to limitation, a reclaiming of space, breath, and human presence.

Alain SINANDJA/ Arts For All

SINANDJA Dakonyéme(Alain SINANDJA) 是一位多哥舞者、編舞家與教育者,現居日本——他的第二個家。2010年至2015年間,他於 Aske-Dance 舞團與 SOJAF 傳統舞蹈團 展開其職業舞蹈生涯。2017年,他在塞內加爾 École des Sables 取得非洲傳統與當代舞蹈文憑;2018年於日本神戶 Art Theater Dance Box 完成密集訓練課程。此外,他亦在日本取得身體保健(Body Care)專業證照,進一步深化對人體解剖與身體動作的理解。
他是 Cie Arts For All、多哥 MINATO-DEN ART CENTER 以及 Happy African Festival 的藝術總監與創辦人,致力於促進非洲與世界之間的文化交流。他曾與多位國際藝術家合作,並在日本與美國演出,包括參與 2025年大阪世界博覽會(Osaka Expo 2025)。作為編舞家,他已創作超過十部作品,同時長期投入舞蹈教育,其教學以 Acogny Technique(阿可尼技術) 為基礎。

SINANDJA Dakonyéme (Alain SINANDJA) is a Togolese dancer, choreographer, and educator based in Japan, his second home. He began his professional career with Aske-Dance and the SOJAF traditional dance company (2010–2015). In 2017, he earned a diploma in African traditional and contemporary dance from École des Sables in Senegal, and in 2018 completed an intensive program at Art Theater Dance Box in Kobe. He also obtained a professional license in body care work in Japan, deepening his understanding of anatomy and movement.

He is the Artistic Director and Founder of Cie Arts For All, MINATO-DEN ART CENTER in Togo, and the Happy African Festival, promoting cultural exchange between Africa and the world. He has collaborated with international artists and performed in Japan and the United States, including at Osaka Expo 2025. As a choreographer, he has created over ten works and is dedicated to education, grounding his teaching in the Acogny Technique.
