Lines
我為個人作品 《LINES》 的研究始於貓爪線遊戲（cat’s cradle），這是一種利用一條長線做出圖案的玩法，同時也參考了 Tim Ingold 所著的《Lines: A Brief History》中，關於痕跡、線與表面的討論。
他提到線的特性：
「要有線的存在，是否必須有表面？還是線可以在沒有任何表面的情況下存在？」（Tim Ingold, 2007, p41）
由此，我開始思考：
為了某物的存在，它是否可以在沒有其他事物存在的情況下存在？
或者，一個生命是否有可能在沒有熟悉的事物、經驗與感官刺激的情況下，自行存在？
這件作品的研究與創作靈感正源於上述思考，並以我將其轉化到自身生活與情感經驗的方式為基礎，將其視作一條線，並結合人類的消費行為進行呈現。
基於這些思考，我探索如何將自身身體與感官的感知、見證與體驗，融入創作過程和生活經驗中，並將其呈現為「線」的形式。
我希望這場表演能提供觀眾一個機會，透過真實的見證、感知與感官體驗，傾聽你自己內在的聲音。
My research for the solo piece “LINES” began with a cat’s cradle which consists of making a pattern with one long piece of thread as well as referencing the book about traces, threads and surfaces from “Lines: A Brief History” written by Tim Ingold.
He mentioned what line is like
“For there to be lines, do there have to be surfaces, or can lines exist without any surface at all?” (Tim Ingold, 2007, p41).
From the above, I wondered
For something to exist, can it exist without the existence of something else?
Or is it possible to alive own life without familiar things, experiences, and sensations?
This piece’s research and authentics were inspired from the above and grounded in how I transform it to my life, emotion experience as a line with using human consumptions.
Based on these thoughts, I explored how I can apply my experiences of what I perceived, witnessed and embodied from my own body and sensation throughout the creation process and my life as lines.
I hope that my performance will provide you the opportunity to listen to yourself through your honest witness, perception and sensation as your experiences.
Maya Takeda
Maya Takeda 是一位日本當代舞者。她於 2017 年畢業於東京 日本女子體育大學，並於 2019 年前往英國深造，2022 年完成 Trinity Laban MA 創意實踐：舞蹈專業課程。自此之後，她與多位藝術家和舞蹈團隊展開專業合作，包括 Jody Oberfelder’s Projects、Marie Chabert、Shobana Jeyasingh Dance 及 Yukio Suzuki’s Projects。此外，她的個人作品曾在日本、土耳其、西班牙、英國、葡萄牙與韓國演出。她於 2025 年 3 月回到日本，目前主要在愛知發展其舞蹈事業。

Maya Takeda is a Japanese contemporary dancer. She graduated from Japan Women’s College of Physical Education in Tokyo (2017) and moved to the United Kingdom in 2019 and graduated from Trinity Laban MA Creative Practice: Dance Professional course (2022). Since then, she has been collaborating professionally with various artists and companies such as Jody Oberfelder's Projects, Marie Chabert, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and Yukio Suzuki’s Projects. Also, she performed her solo piece in Japan, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal and South Korea. She came back to Japan in March 2025 and recently has been exploring her dance career based in Aichi.
