Sky ~ World challenge in Taiwan~
作品《天空》是Shimojima在2018年創作的作品，靈感來自日本的黑暗面事件「赤軍事件」和「奧姆真理教事件」。從這些事件我探索某個群體的瘋狂意識形態並將其在我們舞團中發生。
這部作品的主題是同儕壓力，我認為同儕的壓力是很普遍的人性問題，而這樣的壓力也會因為不同的文化、歷史和國家的歷史背景有所不同。如果一樣的事件在非日本的國家，會同樣發生嗎？
我將初次在台灣與大家一起實驗並且發展這個作品，同時深度探索台灣這個國家與日本的關係。
如果這個實驗計畫有效，我們將在全球各地發展《天空》，從台灣開始，透過比較每個國家的《天空》，我們將能夠更深入理解每個國家和種族的本質。我的目標是從台灣開始發展這個計畫，並在未來擴展到世界其他地區。
＊日本赤軍：在1970年代年輕人為了革命運動藏身於雪山之中進行軍備訓練。當時卻有一群人動用私刑互相殺害的事件。
＊奧姆真理教事件：由神秘的宗教團體真理教在1980年代後期到1990年代中期所引發的事件。他們在不僅在動用私刑更在東京地底鐵站進行恐怖攻擊等多起殺人事件。
The work "sky" created by Reisa's dance company in 2018 was inspired by the Japanese dark side incidents "United Red Army Incident" and "Aum Shinrikyo Incident". From there, I explored the emergence of ideology in a certain group and the mass madness that occurs within a dance company.
The main theme of this work is "peer pressure". I think that "peer pressure" is an issue common to all human beings.
However, the type of "peer pressure" is expected to differ depending on the culture, historical background, and ethnicity of each country.
What kind of errors will the work cause if it is created based on this work in a country other than Japan?
I will try this experiment for the first time in Taiwan. In the creative process, I will deeply explore the essence of Taiwan as a country and the relationship between Japan and Taiwan.
If the experiment in this project is effective, we will create "sky" in various countries around the world, starting with Taiwan, and by comparing the "sky" of each country, we will be able to understand the essence of each country and ethnicity. can be approached.
My goal is to start this project in Taiwan and expand it to encompass the rest of the world in the future.
*United Red Army Incident：In the 1970s, young people who were engaged in revolutionary movements set up hideouts in snowy mountains for armament training. At that time, a lynching murder case in which friends killed each other.
*Aum Shinrikyo Incident：The incidents caused by the occult religious group "Aum Shinrikyo" from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. They caused many incidents such as lynching murders within the cult and indiscriminate terrorist attacks on the Tokyo subway.

下島礼紗1992 年生於鹿兒島縣，自 7 歲起習舞，初期專注學習常見於日本傳統節目慶典的 Yosakai 舞蹈。她之後進入東京櫻美林大學開始接觸現代舞，師承木佐貫邦子。2013 年，下島礼紗成立 KEDAGORO 舞蹈團，擔任編舞及所有舞團作品出品人。舞團的核心理念為：“舞蹈是一種解釋這個世界的方式”，並持續在日本和海外創作，旨在跨越國際界限呈現具爭議性的作品。
作品《天空》是下島在2018年創作的代表作，靈感來自日本的黑暗面事件「赤軍事件」。探索某個群體的瘋狂意識形態並將其在舞團中發生。
另一部重要作品 "Because Kazcause"（2021年）的靈感來自於1980年代在松山市犯下殺死女主人公的福田和子，她透過整容手術改變面容，逃亡15年之久。此外，他們最新的作品《세월》（2022年），探討表達的倫理道德，內容涵蓋了2014年4月16日韓國發生的船難──「世越號」沉沒事件。
下島的代表作品包括 "Monkey in a Diaper" (2017)，該創作源自奧姆真理教事件，以及由韓國國家當代舞蹈團委約的作品"Shut Up, Womb" (2021) 。近年，她與海外藝術家進行了許多國際合作，主要集中在亞洲地區。
自2022年起，她獲得到了The Saison Foundation的支持，持續創作。
Born in 1992, Reisa Shimojima, a native of Kagoshima Prefecture, began studying dance at the age of seven, with focus on Yosakoi dance, which is performed at festivals. She studied contemporary dance under Kuniko Kisanuki at J. F. Oberlin University. She formed the dance company〈KEDAGORO〉in 2013 and is responsible for the choreography and production of all its works. Based on the company's idea that “Dance is a way to interpret this world,” they have been working both in Japan and overseas, aiming to present controversial works across international borders.
The company's masterpiece “sky” (2018) links the process of their own creation with the structure of collective madness under the theme of the United Red Army. Another important work "Because Kazcause" (2021) takes its inspiration from Kazuko FUKUDA, an actual hostess murderer from Matsuyama city in the 1980s, who had changed her face by plastic surgery and escaped for 15 years. In addition, as their latest work, they performed "세월" (2022), which explores the ethics of expression, covering the sinking of the Sewol ferry in South Korea on April 16, 2014.
SHIMOJIMA's signature works include "Monkey in a Diaper" (2017), which is based on the case of Aum Shinrikyo, and "Shut Up, Womb" (2021) commissioned by the Korean National Contemporary Dance Company. In recent years, she has created many international collaborations with overseas artists, mainly in Asia.
She has been supported by The Saison Foundation since 2022.
