Introduction｜
Chieh-Hsuan Yen, Native of Taiwan, Born in 1994, a freelance artist, choreographer and performer. Graduated from University of Taipei with master degree majoring in choreography.
Being dedicated to choreography. Aiming to create bind between performance and audience as well as healing people through intensifying the power of dance. Mainly working on projects correlated to folk belief and phenomenon of patriarchal society in recent years.

Artist statement｜
I am a choreographer who has been focusing on women's issues in recent years, especially the impact of patriarchy on women. Starting from 2022, I began researching the ecology of Taiwan's sex workers, gaining a deeper understanding of their lives through street observations, discussions with women's groups, and interviews with retired sex workers. In 2023, I published a work titled "Women of Wanhua" that revolves around the stories of Taiwan's sex workers.
My creative work focusing on life and emotions, emphasizing the expansion of perception and finding the kinetic energy and movement of body through sensory experiences. I believe that creativity should not be divorced from humanity. Through empathy, I conduct research and self-exploration, addressing the challenges faced by society in my work and attempting to find solutions. I hope my work can have a healing and inspiring effect on the public.
